Why does the new hydrogen compressor have an oil injector, while the feed gas compressor does not?
It depends on whether the compressor accessories require lubricant

I asked the mechanic before; he said there are two theories – one is that lubrication with an oil injector is necessary, and the other is that it isn’t. So for a while we turned on the oil injector for a certain period of time before starting the machine, and then stopped it once the compressor started running.
Due to the relatively high manufacturing costs and requirements for oil-free lubrication, as well as the high repair costs in case of failures, it is suitable for use in air compressors with low pressure. For high-pressure air compressors, however, using an oil injector is a more reliable approach to ensure stable operation. True oil-free lubrication involves using materials such as resins that can provide lubricating effects, or enclosing lubricant within a structure; however, this approach remains unreliable under conditions of long operation periods and high pressures at present. Moreover, the choice of lubricant depends on your medium; some air compressor mediums require that no lubricating oil be mixed in, so oil-free lubrication must be used.
