【Daily Question 2019】Hydrogen production and hydrogenation section – Questions 4-14: 1. What phenomena can occur if the feed oil contains water suddenly during the production process? 1) The outlet temperature of the reaction feed heater experienced a rapid drop. The temperature rise in the reactor bed decreases rapidly. The pressure in the reaction system rises. The cold high-score threshold continues to rise. The drainage volume from the dehydration package in the post-fractionation section increases. Severe water carryover can cause the catalyst carrier to collapse and pulverize, resulting in an increase in system pressure drop. (Unless otherwise specified, all questions and answers are based on hydrogenation units.) ) Correct: 3 wealth, Incorrect: 1 wealth ; Mass posting of posts – rated based on the lowest score ; Replies that are unrelated to the answer are considered spam and will be deleted immediately. First, the electrodialysis current increases and the normal signal light goes out; in more severe cases, the electrodialysis tank trips and the current reading for the desalination tank becomes zero.
There are large fluctuations in pressure and temperature, as well as unstable flow rates.
1. The temperature TI-10108 drops after the raw materials are mixed; 2. The reaction pressure rises and experiences significant fluctuations ; 3. The outlet temperature of the reaction heating furnace decreases ; 4. The boundaries between high and low cold temperatures rise, while the liquid level drops.
Whether it is hydrorefining or hydrocracking, hydrogenation processes have strict requirements regarding the water content in the feed oil. The water present in the feed oil has a significant impact on both the catalyst and the system pressure drop, as illustrated in the following aspects: (1) The water in the feed oil affects the strength of the catalyst carrier; when the water content is too high, it can lead to a decrease in the catalyst’s surface area, as well as damage or pulverization of the catalyst carrier, resulting in an increase in system pressure drop and loss of active components. (2) When the moisture content in the crude oil is low, it has little effect on the active metal components of the catalyst; however, when the moisture content is high, metal aggregation occurs among these active metal components, resulting in a decrease or even loss of their catalytic activity. (3) The moisture in the feed oil also affects the system pressure drop; when the moisture content is high, the system pressure drop increases, which raises the energy consumption of the plant. In severe cases, this can cause the recycle hydrogen compressor to become overloaded and force it to shut down.
1) The outlet temperature of the reaction feed heater experienced a rapid drop.
System pressure fluctuations, rise in the level of the crude oil tank, rise in the high and low level thresholds
