Just now, I got another question wrong in another section: the definition of furnace temperature. I remember it clearly – furnace temperature refers to the temperature of the flue gases as they leave the radiation chamber and enter the convection chamber; it is the highest temperature reached during the operation of the heating furnace. But the question asked for the average temperature of the flue gas in the radiation chamber, so I gave an incorrect answer. I’m not sure whether this temperature refers to an instantaneous temperature or an average temperature Personally, I think an average temperature is more reasonable.
The average temperature – first and foremost, it cannot be a point temperature; a point temperature merely represents the temperature of a few randomly selected points, and it lacks statistical significance and representativeness. In industrial processes, optimization is carried out using the average temperature; therefore, wherever temperature-related values are involved, the average temperature is used in its place.
To be honest, the definition isn’t particularly clear, but in practical operations, the temperature measured at the points inside the furnace is taken directly as the furnace temperature, without first taking readings and then calculating an average value. I guess many internal operations do this as well.

For calculations, it should be based on the temperature indicated in the comments; when reading values during normal operation, each individual point needs to be considered, with the highest value generally being the one that matters
