Why is the sulfur content in the samples taken from the high-temperature exchange reaction effluent lower than that in the low-temp fractionated oil? For sampling at high temperatures, the drain blind cap was removed – could it be that the sulfur evaporates along with the oil and gas at high temperatures? I would like to ask the seniors for advice
I don’t think so. Are you working with hydrogen sulfide or organic sulfur? Organic sulfur does not evaporate

I believe that when sampling at high temperatures and then reducing the pressure of the oil, hydrogen sulfide evaporates, and most of the hydrogen sulfide in the lower fraction is removed, though some remains dissolved.

The key point is that leaks in the heat exchangers located in high-pressure areas can only occur from high pressure to low pressure; therefore, temperature is the determining factor for sulfur content. Moreover, at lower temperatures, all the sulfur that can vaporize does so, and what remains is sulfur that is difficult to vaporize or is dissolved in ammonium salts and thus not easy to vaporize;
