I would like to ask: before starting the lubricating oil system, it is necessary to activate the isolation gas for the dry gas seal. So how can we determine whether the isolation gas has been activated?
If there is no flow meter, after the isolation gas enters the dry gas seal, the discharge point should be directly to the atmosphere, and this can be detected at the discharge port.
No way. Are there no suitable cabinets on site?
This facility should have pressure gauges installed in various locations; you can figure it out by looking at the schematic diagram – the pressure levels indicated by these gauges at different points can be used to make judgments. Additionally, an air flow sound can be heard at the sealing point based on perception. But this is not a condition that determines the process requirements; it is merely a perception.
The dry gas seal manufacturers will supply the dry gas seal system, which is equipped with a flow meter; there is no need to install an additional flow meter on site
There is a pressure gauge, but what if the path behind the pressure gauge is blocked? How can one determine that?
