Guys, does anyone have a purging plan for PSA hydrogen production (with 12 towers)? Urgent!
Ask the design firm for it; it’s usually available. The key is to be careful not to allow air to flow in in the reverse direction, and not to let air flow in in the forward direction for an extended period of time. Pay attention to keeping the gas dry, free from oil and water, and take good care of the adsorbent.
The manufacturer generally provides guidelines regarding the purging process, the issues that need to be paid attention to during it, how to control the pressure difference, the direction of purging, as well as the airtightness testing of programmable valves. Additionally, there is the aspect of purging catalyst dust (in this case, attention should be paid to the pressure difference; this is usually done by venting from the side of the blind flange on the gas pipeline)
