What hydrogen-to-oil ratio is generally used in practice for diesel hydrofinishing units?
Isn’t the hydrogen-to-oil ratio determined based on the design values of your catalyst?
It should be determined based on the catalyst design; mainly, we want to learn about the situations in other systems
The properties of raw materials can sometimes vary significantly, and they need not necessarily correspond to the design values
As for our side, an excessively high hydrogen-to-oil ratio affects energy consumption, so it should be kept as low as possible; however, it cannot be lower than the specified value. If the catalyst manufacturer does not have any special requirements, then attention should be paid to the radial temperature difference within the reactor as well as the rate of coking in the reactor
I checked the data; it’s generally between 350 and 390. However, the properties of the raw materials are still very important!
We designed it at 600; for materials with significant variations, those that require more hydrogen may have a lower value, around 450–550 I guess. Each device is different; here it involves modification.
Do you mean a mass ratio or a volume ratio?
If not specified, the default is volume ratio. The quality ratio is a number that’s far more terrifying than you can even imagine. . .

Our facility has relatively large control requirements; the original design was for the hydrogenation and refining of heavy wax, but due to equipment limitations (the equipment can only withstand a pressure of 11 MPa), we are currently processing diesel through hydrogenation, by mixing catalyzed diesel, conventional diesel, and dark diesel for hydrogenation
