Gentlemen, have you heard of the removal of sulfur using hot hydrogen during the shutdown of hydrogenation units?
I haven’t been in this industry for long, so I’ve never heard of hot hydrogen desulfurization. I have only heard that hot hydrogen carries oil, and there are requirements regarding sulfur content in the circulating hydrogen to prevent catalyst reduction.
Does the hot hydrogen circulation continue after the system level stops rising once oil is introduced? Generally, it’s to remove the hydrogen that has permeated into the vessel walls, pipes, etc
