Why is it necessary to cool the feed gas for hydrogen production before it enters the converter? Moreover, why is cooling achieved by injecting deoxygenated water? Why is water used for cooling?
It is to control the inlet temperature. During normal operation, the inlet temperature exceeds 400 degrees; at this point, water turns into vapor, and the unit-level interlocks will be activated to shut down the system.

Use demineralized water to inject at the converter inlet for cooling? What is this operation, and what is the inlet temperature of the converter? What is the converter outlet temperature? Is the converter temperature sufficient when water is injected into this location? To suppress coking, one can simply increase the amount of steam during the mixing of the feed gas and steam beforehand, thereby raising the water-to-carbon ratio.
