As I understand it, installing wall valves also facilitates maintenance, and it allows the steam tower to be started up without steam scattering everywhere. Installing blind flanges is primarily intended to provide complete isolation when personnel enter the tower, preventing leaks and ensuring the safety of maintenance workers. Some devices don’t have anything set at all. I think the only downside of using a wall-mounted valve is that for the material pumped from upstream, the closing pressure has to be taken into account in front of this valve, which results in an increase in the pipeline rating.
