New high-efficiency hydrogenation catalyst deployed at Takahashi Petrochemicals 2025/5/29      According to reports from this newspaper, on May 25, with the successful first start-up of Takahashi Petrochemicals’ continuous reforming unit, the various performance parameters of the newly developed fully sulfided catalyst FH-50A used in this unit—such as its desulfurization and denitration capabilities as well as the initial reaction temperature—met the expected levels, marking the achievement of the goal of industrializing this catalyst.   Developed by the Dalian Petrochemical Research Institute, this catalyst offers advantages in terms of high efficiency and energy savings; its loading weight is 13% less compared to the previous version. Due to its high activity, it enables a lower initial reaction temperature, which reduces energy consumption and extends service life, thereby providing technical support for processing low-quality crude oil. This new type of high-efficiency catalyst possesses independent intellectual property rights, and its first application has provided new practical experience for technological innovation in hydrogenation catalysts in China.
