Inner Mongolia’s green hydrogen production exceeds 10,000 tons

Data released by the Energy Bureau of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region on December 18 show that since the beginning of this year, the production of green hydrogen in Inner Mongolia has continued to increase. As of December 15, 2025, the production of green hydrogen under the direct green power connection model reached 11,265 tons. This figure not only exceeded the annual target of 10,000 tons ahead of schedule, but also amounted to four times the total green hydrogen output in 2024, placing it at the national forefront. This year, building on the existing 14 policies, the Energy Bureau of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region has introduced five additional policy measures regarding the application, construction, acceptance, and operation of wind and solar-powered hydrogen production projects, aiming to accelerate their implementation. At the same time, the Energy Bureau of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region has visited the project sites on multiple occasions to address the urgent and difficult issues faced by enterprises. At present, the HuanDian Baotou project, Datang Ximeng project, and Envision Chifeng project have achieved stable production and operation ； The remaining completed projects are currently undergoing commissioning and production, with efforts being made to rapidly convert production capacity into actual output ； Ongoing projects are being accelerated to support a steady increase in production capacity.
