Henan will focus on developing 9 hydrogen energy projects by 2026

Recently, the Henan Provincial Development and Reform Commission issued a notice regarding the list of key construction projects in Henan Province for 2026. The document states that Henan Province has 1,418 key projects scheduled for 2026, with a total investment of around 3.2 trillion yuan, aiming to complete an investment of over 1 trillion yuan in that year. There are 9 key hydrogen energy projects under development. The completed projects include: the Suxin Cooperative New Energy Vehicle Parts Industrial Park (hydrogen-alcohol power) project; the comprehensive utilization of biogas for hydrogen production by Zhongxi Hydrogen Energy Industry Co., Ltd. in Puyang Economic Development Zone; and the development and demonstration application of proton exchange membrane electrolysis systems for hydrogen production by the Central Oilfield Branch. The projects still in progress include: the hydrogen energy development project by Henan Liyuan Group; the industrial park for core components of hydrogen fuel cells by Zhongyuan Internal Parts Group Co., Ltd. in Mengzhou City; the infrastructure construction project for the Zhengzhou Airport Hydrogen-Alcohol Power Industrial Park; and the project by Henan Junheng Biotechnology Co., Ltd. to produce sustainable aviation fuel from waste oils, as well as to integrate energy generation, transmission, distribution, and storage. The projects that have just started include: the zero-carbon industrial park for research, development, and production of green energy hydrogen storage technologies and high-end nanomaterials; and the MingYang Group’s demonstration project involving electricity, hydrogen, alcohol, and solid materials in Suishi
