This unit features a three-stage compression system for fresh hydrogen; during the process of shutting down the machine and reducing its load, the loads on stages 1 and 2 both drop to 0, but stage 3 still shows a load of 20%. What could be the possible reasons for this phenomenon? Can a valve failure cause it?

The reasons are: 1. There are issues with the display of the control system； 2. The control program is malfunctioning and requires attention from instrument maintenance personnel.

It’s probably a problem with the control program. The inorganic gas flow regulation system used by us, from Huan Tian, often has such issues, and even the manufacturer’s after-sales support failed to resolve it
Isn’t the regulation of level 1, 2, and 3 loads done through direct input regulation? What do you mean by your 20% load? Does level 3 still do work?
Stepless air volume adjustment is generally divided into manual control and automatic control. Under automatic control, the loads at the three levels are adjusted synchronously, while under manual control, each level can be adjusted separately. The aforementioned situation may occur when in manual adjustment mode, or it could be due to problems with the transmission of control signals.

On my end, with the reciprocating compressor (three-stage), the second and third load controllers of the stepless airflow control system gradually returned to zero in automatic mode. An on-site inspection showed that the compressor was operating normally, and no abnormalities or error codes were found upon checking the Hölbig control cabinet. I consulted Holbig’s technical staff, and they also inspected the site but found no issues. I’m asking the experts here: what could be the cause?
You can check the pressure at the third-level inlet and outlet; if no work is done, it indicates a problem with the instrument itself, while if work is done, it’s a programming issue
Is there a problem with the third-level actuator? Or is there a problem with the program? Try turning it off with the stepless adjustment function, or restart the system after a power outage
