Dear senior teachers and colleagues, regarding the centrifugal blowers of model All1400/1.38 used in sulfuric acid production, abnormal noises occur during normal operation – three to five times a day, lasting for one or two seconds each time. The sound is similar to that of brakes, and there are sudden increases or decreases in current; the pressure at the outlet of the blower drops instantly, and vibration increases. A few days ago, the modules and boards in the frequency converter were replaced (it’s not clear exactly which ones), but the problem persisted, with the abnormal noises continuing. It stopped once. I seek help from all teachers to answer my questions
It is recommended to conduct a disassembly inspection to check for crystalline structures and corrosion, and the inlet and outlet valves should also be inspected. There is also the control of valves, as well as the cleaning of the pre-filter screens in front of the fans. To troubleshoot issues, start by checking and eliminating problems from the process, mechanical, and relay aspects. List out all the machinery and processes under your responsibility; what’s left is the electrical aspect. If that doesn’t work, replacing the motor or similar is a way to troubleshoot the issue. If you suspect that one, deal with it first – it’s the easiest and most feasible approach. In short, by ruling out all possibilities, that’s when the problem arises :)
