According to the operating procedures, when shutting down the sulfur process, hot soaking is carried out first, followed by the progressive removal of sulfate from the catalyst, and finally sulfur removal using gas. I would like to ask whether the step of sulfate elimination using a catalyst is necessary? Will sulfur blowing cause the catalyst to sulfate?
