Does the vent valve on the oil storage tank (low-level tank) of the heat transfer oil furnace need to remain open at all times?
May I ask: Do you use heat transfer oil furnaces to heat the acidic water stripping or solvent regeneration process?
Is there a nitrogen seal? Breather valve? If not, is it okay to leave it on constantly without worrying about oxidation?

It must remain operational on a long-term basis; the low-level tank serves to replenish or store the heat transfer oil used in the system. However, the temperature in this tank is at room temperature, so no reactions occur. Keeping the air vent valve open helps to maintain pressure inside the low-level tank as materials flow in and out.
