On June 4, a public notice was issued regarding the environmental protection inspection upon completion of Shandong Zhongrou New Materials Co., Ltd.’s 3,000-ton/year hexafluoroepichlorohydrin project (re-submitted for approval). The total investment for this project is 86.5 million yuan. It mainly involves the construction of a new production facility and a potassium hydroxide recovery workshop, along with other supporting facilities. Once operational, it will be able to produce 3,000 tons of hexafluoroepoxide, 500 tons of carbonyl fluoride, and 1,000 tons of trifluoroacetyl fluoride per year. Construction of this project began in December 2024, and it was completed and put into operational testing in February 2025. The scope of environmental protection inspection upon completion includes the main facilities of the hexafluoroepoxypropane production plant (the production units), as well as the supporting utility systems and environmental protection facilities (waste gas treatment systems, waste water treatment systems) and the associated pollution control measures. Based on the environmental protection acceptance inspection report for the completion of the project and on-site inspections, it can be seen that the project has complete environmental protection procedures and all necessary technical documents. The environmental impact assessment and the \"three simultaneities\" management system were implemented, and all environmental pollution prevention measures specified in the environmental impact assessment report and its approvals were put into effect. The emissions of major pollutants are within acceptable levels, meeting the requirements regarding total emission amounts; thus, the project meets the conditions for environmental protection acceptance and has passed the inspection.
