I now need to convert multiple atmospheric pressure storage tanks (with internal floating roof, aluminum floaters, and primary rubber seals) to have secondary seals. Are there any photos from sites where this has been done by experts? How should the conversion be carried out? What components need to be added? What are the relevant standard references?
The old seal needs to be removed, and in accordance with the requirements of GB31570-2015, the primary seal should be replaced with a liquid-filled seal, while the secondary seal should be a tongue-shaped seal. Depending on the structure of the frame, when installing a secondary seal, a structure such as a secondary frame panel needs to be added to secure the secondary seal. There are still many cases like what the original poster mentioned. All of these are used to improve the sealing of the floating disk and reduce oil and gas evaporation.
