Are cut-off valves necessary for storage tanks holding Class A and Class B materials, or are they required when the tank area is classified as a major hazard of a certain level?
In tank areas that are classified as major hazard sources, where liquefied gases or highly toxic substances are present, emergency shut-off valves must be installed.

Our tank area is not large; each tank has a capacity of 100 m3. There are tanks of Class A-B, Class B-A, and Class C, and these meet the criteria for a major hazard source of level 4. Does it suffice to install emergency shut-off valves at the bases of the Class A-B and Class B-A tanks, while no such valves are needed for the other tanks?
