How are liquid nitrogen, liquid oxygen, and liquid argon filled and unloaded? Are there any things to keep in mind?
Purchased liquid nitrogen is transported to the facility via tank trucks and pressurized into the liquid nitrogen storage tank. The liquid nitrogen is then pressurized by a low-temperature liquid pump and sent to a vaporizer, where it is converted into gas. This gas is subsequently filled into steel cylinders. Depending on the filling temperature, and using a temperature-pressure chart, once the pressure reaches the specified value, it is considered that the cylinders are fully filled. At that point, the inlet valve of the cylinders is closed, the cylinders are removed, and stored in the area designated for such cylinders, awaiting sale. The process flow for liquid oxygen and liquid argon is the same as that for liquid nitrogen.
