Our nitrogen inlet is installed on the side at the top of the tank, and the nitrogen outlet valve is also installed on the side at the top of the tank. Question: Can the nitrogen inlet valve and nitrogen outlet valve be installed on the top of the tank (with DN40 and DN80 ports available)?
No problem at all; all our outlets are located on the top of the tank (except for the level gauge and drain)
The problem isn’t serious; the nitrogen contains very little moisture, so there should be no issues~~~

Why is a nitrogen release valve used? Isn’t there a breather valve?
It is recommended to install a manual valve for nitrogen supply at the bottom of the tank as well. In the event of a manual nitrogen cut-off, tank access becomes cumbersome and dangerous.

This design is unreasonable. Generally, valves should be placed as close as possible to the pipe opening, mainly to ensure the accuracy of the pressure measurements
The control valve is located at the bottom, with front and rear manual valves; there is a check valve behind the control valve. There is an on-site pressure gauge behind the lower control valve and a remote-mounted gauge on the top of the tank; automatic adjustment at 1.0 kPa
The nitrogen sealing system for storage tanks is an important measure to ensure their safety. The nitrogen pipeline branches off from the main pipeline; a manual valve and a check valve are installed below this branch, after which it reaches the designated connection point at the top of the tank. Before making the connection, a self-acting control valve as well as three valve assemblies on the front and rear sides should be installed, with a pressure gauge connected behind the self-acting control valve. In newly built storage tanks today, pressure transmitters are installed in the nitrogen sealing systems; older tanks may use local pressure gauges. The main reason why self-acting control valves cannot be placed below the tank for operation is that the closer the pressure sampling point behind such valves is to the tank, the more immediate the regulation will be. Therefore, self-acting control valves must be installed on the top of the tank and subjected to regular inspection and maintenance. In cases where it is not possible to work on the tank due to adverse weather conditions such as rain, snow, or strong winds, and if the tank pressure rises while nitrogen is still being supplied, the pressure can be reduced by closing the manual valve on the nitrogen supply line at the bottom of the tank and turning on the nitrogen vent valve. When releasing pressure, it is important to stand in the upwind direction, ensure that there are no welding or other flammable operations within 30 meters around the tank, confirm that the tank is under positive pressure, and avoid releasing pressure too quickly to prevent the generation of static electricity; also, do not leave the area while pressure is being released.
