I am currently designing a storage tank for 5,000 cubic meters of concentrated sulfuric acid (98%). Although I have found specifications stating that an inward-extending suction pipe should be installed at the outlet, with the inlet entering from the top of the tank and extending downward to below the liquid level in the tank, along with a surge plate, I am not sure how to draw the CAD details for the inward-extending suction pipe at the outlet. Also, since the bottom of the tank opens at the bottom plate, I’m unsure about how to represent that in the drawings.
