Bromine can leak easily; I’m not sure what your operating conditions are? When I was working at an enamel factory, enamel boilers were used in bromine-related processes, and better-quality gaskets were selected. As long as the operating temperature and pressure remain within limits, silicon carbide heat exchangers should not have any problems.
Was your problem finally solved? How was it resolved in the end? Using silicon carbide with halogens is not a big problem
