What qualifications are required by the chemical industry company you work for from external contractors that provide inspection, maintenance, and repair services? Are there any requirements regarding a general contracting qualification for petrochemical engineering projects or a general contracting qualification for mechanical and electrical engineering projects?
Some industries have requirements; it is necessary. Such as the inspection and maintenance of special equipment, for example.

Inspection, maintenance, and repair of special equipment require administrative permits; for items such as pressure vessels, pressure pipelines, and boilers, there are no issues with regard to the required qualifications. The main question is whether there are any qualification requirements for the inspection, maintenance, and repair of non-special equipment such as pumps, fans, atmospheric pressure vessels, and circulators
For inspection, maintenance, and repair work, only specialized qualifications such as those for mechanical and electrical installation, pressure pipeline installation, and steel structure installation are required; qualifications such as those for general contracting are not necessary.
According to the scope of qualifications for mechanical and electrical installation as defined by the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, such qualifications do not cover the inspection and maintenance work in chemical enterprises; however, upon consultation, it was found that the Ministry does not require any special qualifications for routine inspection and maintenance tasks.
In terms of job content, routine inspection and maintenance differ from major overhauls. And factories usually need maintenance service providers.
