In daily work, due to the nature of the job, working overtime is inevitable, but there is no overtime pay. What do you all think of this situation?

Overtime pay isn’t necessary, but compensatory time off is required. Otherwise, it means sacrificing the rights of employees; over time, they will develop a resistance attitude. A team like this will eventually run into problems.
Many operations in chemical plants cannot be completed within an eight-hour shift, such as starting up or shutting down facilities, or carrying out emergency repairs. As technicians, it is inevitable to work overtime when faced with such tasks; many critical steps need to be verified, and there are often personnel who are irreplaceable. Therefore, working overtime is normal and represents a spirit of dedication. In our company, there is no overtime pay for either technical or management positions. Since overtime work is common, employees are not penalized if they take half a day or a full day off to attend to family matters; the company also sends out rewards for overtime work, and those who work overtime receive additional compensation.
The nature of our work requires us to work overtime; it doesn’t matter whether we get paid or not, and what happens to our old employer.
Our overtime pay is part of our salary; as for the so-called performance evaluation, it’s simply the HR department that uses a formula to calculate it, and some of the data isn’t available to us due to insufficient access rights. You’ll have money whether you come or not; it just depends on how much. I worked 8 hours of overtime this month, which might earn me more than the 32 hours of overtime I worked last month. Triple pay on holidays? Delusion. You’re basically not allowed to come, but aside from those few statutory days, you still have to come.
