During the review, it was asked how to handle the exhaust gases when unloading methanol-powered tank trucks It’s not practical to use nitrogen sealing; the high pressure would be too much for the tank trucks. Is there any good solution?
How is the process designed? Shouldn’t there be a balance pipe connecting it to the receiving tank during unloading? Where does the exhaust gas come from?
Why can’t nitrogen sealing be used? Given the current trend toward safety and environmental protection, this is the prevailing direction； During unloading, it is sufficient to connect the vapor phase of the tank truck to the storage tank; however, the exhaust gas from the storage tank must be treated by a professional agency! (RTO or absorption treatment, etc.)
Using a balanced air pipe to connect from the top of the tank truck to the top of the storage tank is not only safe but also environmentally friendly. Today, most storage facilities are equipped with balance air pipes.
