Recently, our company is implementing a new energy-saving measure: a project aimed at achieving zero emissions by using the oil-contaminated wastewater that has been pre-treated in the refinery as makeup water for circulating water. Have any of you in the industry used this approach? How effective is it?
Is oily wastewater used as makeup water for circulating water, which is used for cooling? Won’t the oily water contaminate or corrode the equipment?:) I haven’t used it yet; I’d like to know the results of your exploration.
