The workshop is a facility for producing flammable liquids; the tank area contains 16 storage tanks capable of holding 150 tons each of flammable liquids. Due to process requirements, the workshop needs to discharge liquid directly from the bottom of these tanks on a regular basis. I’m wondering if there are any relevant standards that explicitly prohibit such practice

Paragraph 6.4.2 of the “Fire Protection Standards for Petrochemical Enterprises” (GB50160): “For the loading and unloading of Class A B, Class B, and Class C A liquids, submersible loading and unloading nozzles shall be used.” ” Therefore, 1. liquefied hazardous chemicals such as liquid chlorine, liquid ammonia, liquefied petroleum gas, and liquefied natural gas; 2. liquids classified as Class A, B, and C should use loading and unloading nozzles.
There should be no regulations prohibiting it, but since this is a storage area, such work should not be carried out; internal rules can be established for this purpose. At the very least, you need to operate at the unloading area of the pump room; it can’t be inside the tank area.
In such a situation, it’s okay to take preventive measures temporarily for a few times; It’s not possible in the long term. (It fails to meet both the requirements regarding safety and environmental protection as well as those related to process automation.)
