Some managers have reported that there is an employee in their department who frequently violates discipline, but only he is able to repair certain critical equipment. To protect his work morale, it is not appropriate to punish him for his disciplinary violations, but this could have a negative impact on other employees. How exactly should his wrongdoings be dealt with?
If a company cannot function without its founder, it means it doesn’t have much scale. The existence of such people indicates that the company is not large, its systems are inadequate, and it lacks authority.
Let someone else take over his work and learn from him* to create a sense of urgency in him
If it’s already been determined that there are thorns, then it becomes difficult to deal with the situation. Remove the mention of thorns, reflect on one’s own actions – if one can’t even handle things properly, how can they be a manager? It’s better to resign out of responsibility.
It has thorns; first, we need to investigate why it has thorns 1. Not enough rights given? If people do their work properly ahead, while managers keep giving orders and acting like they know everything when they don’t, then I’d rather be prickly ; 2、Relying on experience to act seniorly? If he can fix it, why can’t others? If others can’t do it, or don’t want to offend him and preserve his sense of superiority, then it’s fine to replace him ; 3. To impress the superiors and boost one’s own salary for personal gain? Then go for it; at least you’ve tried. If you can’t succeed, it’s not your fault, and he won’t target you either. 4. I haven’t thought of it yet. . .
As a manager, it’s unacceptable to face such problems where the operation can’t proceed without a certain person present; honestly, that’s not up to standard. That manager should also be more careful from now on. After all, since such a problem has already arisen, it still needs to be solved. Recommendation 1: Summarize the equipment issues and their solutions. Develop standard documents. It is best for the supervisor at the next higher level of the equipment manager to suggest that the equipment manager take overall responsibility while the designated person handles the specific tasks. (Find an excuse he can’t refuse and will be happy to accept; he’s good at repairs, so give him more responsibilities.) 2: Conduct courses related to equipment maintenance, and have that troublemaker act as the instructor. 3: There should be several mechanics; select those with stronger learning abilities, and have each of them specialize in one type of piercing device (developing their skills gradually). Only when there are alternative people available can you deal with the troublemakers without any issues. In fact, once tasks 1 and 2 are initiated, the person in charge will be more motivated to work hard (after all, they have received recognition from senior management), and they will perform well.

It is recommended to look at the issue from a different perspective and identify its root cause; as a competent technical professional, one should possess self-control and not frequently violate rules. If self-discipline is as described in the text, how can one grow into an irreplaceable talent?
It’s mainly a matter of interests. People also have a side that tends to indulge in certain behaviors; there are various reasons for this, but it is usually done in order to express one’s opinions fairly and justly. However, since everyone has different thoughts, their views also differ
Analyze each situation on its own; communication, communication, communication!
