Regarding the venting setup for the valve room of natural gas stations

The CDP valve chamber design specifications state that \"vent pipes should be installed within the walls of the valve chamber.\" In actual designs, however, most vents are located outside those walls. Is this requirement in the CDP documents based on the aim of saving space by maintaining larger distances? Should it be followed or not?
In valve rooms, the vent stack is usually located within the enclosure; it is the transfer stations that have the vent stacks outside the enclosure, and those typically come equipped with vent flares.
