The hydrostatic test for pressure vessels should be carried out after the manufacturer has completed their production, and the pressure resistance report is also a document that should be provided along with the equipment when it leaves the factory. I would like to ask whether a device (that is not manufactured on-site) still undergoes a hydrostatic test after it arrives at the site?
It is usually not necessary. If Party A is concerned, they may choose to conduct another hydrostatic test; if the results are satisfactory, the costs will have to be borne by them. If there are issues, they can ask the manufacturer to carry out rework, with the associated costs also falling on them.

It depends on whether it is water pressure or air pressure, as specified in the contract. Generally, if the equipment’s piping system needs to be filled with water during operation, a hydrostatic test is conducted; if no water is used during operation, then an aerodynamic test can be carried out.
