In accordance with clause 5.1.3 of GBT 1226-2010 for general pressure gauges, the pressure range of the gauge is generally utilized up to 3/4 of its total measurement range. Therefore, the range of a 1.6 MPa pressure gauge corresponds to 64% of the range of a 2.5 MPa pressure gauge; based on this requirement, a 2.5 MPa pressure gauge cannot be used ; 2. If the range of the pressure gauge is selected to be between 1.5 and 3 times the pressure to be measured, then is 2.5 MPa above the upper limit of measurement? It can be used as long as it doesn’t exceed the limit.
2.5/3=0.83, 1.6/1.5=1.067; the normal pressure can only be between 0.83 and 1.067. If the normal operating pressure is not within this range, it should not meet the selection criteria for pressure gauges.
