If petrochemical companies are to truly become leaders in the industry in terms of carbon management, they must use technological innovation as an engine, a circular economy model as a pathway, carbon management as a guiding principle, and equipment upgrades as a fundamental basis. Equipment upgrades are a \"performance booster\" for energy conservation and carbon reduction. Under the \"dual carbon\" goals, technological innovation is the fundamental driving force for chemical enterprises to save energy and reduce carbon emissions, while phasing out and upgrading high-energy-consuming equipment is a crucial first step in achieving this goal. Huaxing Chemical Company, part of the Tonghua Group, carried out variable-frequency upgrades on the dry suction pumps and sulfur dioxide fans in its sulfuric acid production facility, resulting in an annual energy savings of 1.7145 million kWh and cost savings of 1.2 million yuan ; Tonghua Liuguo Chemical Company upgraded its air compressors to permanent-magnet variable-frequency models, reducing unnecessary operation and saving 170,000 kWh of electricity per year, which is equivalent to 20.89 tons of standard coal ; Tonghua Organic Chemical Company uses hydraulic optimization technology for various operating conditions to develop high-efficiency water pumps, resulting in annual energy savings of 117,000 kWh and a reduction of 96.5 tons of carbon dioxide emissions per year. Intelligent control is an “accelerator” for energy conservation and carbon reduction. The key approach to smart energy management is to deploy energy management systems that enable real-time monitoring of energy consumption data, as well as intelligent analysis and optimized control, thus creating a closed-loop management system of \"monitoring—diagnosis—optimization\" to ensure that energy consumption can be effectively monitored and controlled. In this regard, Huaxing Chemical adopts a \"dual-engine\" management approach, carrying out dynamic monitoring of 87 key energy consumption indicators and providing timely feedback for optimization, to ensure the implementation of energy-saving measures ; Liu Guo Chemical uses excess pressure recovery technology to generate electricity from recycled water, producing 3.2 million kWh of electricity per year ; Tonghua Group’s Xinqiao Mining Company has built an intelligent pump room, enabling unattended operation of the underground pump room and saving 200,000 kWh of electricity per year. The substitution of green energy is an “effective tool” for saving energy and reducing carbon emissions. Reducing dependence on fossil fuels and transitioning to renewable energy is an effective way to achieve carbon neutrality. Tonghua Group actively applies technologies such as cogeneration, clean coal gasification, and waste heat power generation to improve the efficiency of hierarchical energy utilization ; Explore joint ventures to build photovoltaic power generation projects in order to increase the use of green electricity ; Develop a clear roadmap for replacing conventional electricity with green energy, giving priority to the use of factory rooftops and unused land for photovoltaic power generation, while actively exploring the application of low-carbon energy sources such as green hydrogen and biomass energy. Practice has shown that green transformation is by no means a cost burden for enterprises, but rather a core source of their competitiveness. Only by embedding energy conservation and carbon reduction into the core of development can we take the lead in breaking through on the \"carbon path,\" injecting strong \"green\" momentum into the industry, and ultimately achieving a win-win situation in terms of economic and ecological benefits.
