Jinchuan Group has obtained a patent for an automatic drainage device for the pipelines used in the production of acetylene via the calcium carbide method, which enables automatic drainage. According to information from the Intellectual Property Office, dated August 12, 2025, Jinchuan Group Co., Ltd. and Jinchuan Group Chemical New Materials Co., Ltd. have been granted a patent titled “An Automatic Drainage Device for Pipelines Used in the Production of Acetylene via the Calcium Carbide Method”; the approval number of this patent is CN223216126U, with the application date being October 2024. The patent abstract indicates that this utility model discloses an automatic drainage device for acetylene delivery pipelines manufactured using the calcium carbide method. A water collection tank is connected to the bottom of the acetylene delivery pipeline, and the bottom of this water collection tank is connected to a condensate collection tank via a first drainage pipe ; At the top of the condensate collection tank, there is a vapor equilibrium pipe that is connected to the acetylene delivery pipeline; there is also a nitrogen delivery pipe that is connected to the main nitrogen pipeline. A level gauge is also installed on the condensate collection tank ; The bottom of the condensate water collection tank is connected to a second drainage pipe, and a drainage pipe outlet control valve is installed on the second drainage pipe ; A combustible gas alarm is installed at the outlet control valve of the drainage pipe. The combustible gas alarm and the level gauge are each electrically connected to the signal input terminals of the PLC programmable controller, while the signal output terminal of the PLC programmable controller is electrically connected to the outlet control valve of the drainage pipe. The condensed water that accumulates in the acetylene delivery pipelines settles due to gravity into a condensate collection tank; remote interlocking is achieved through a PLC programmable controller, enabling automatic drainage and ensuring intelligent safety.
