Advancing the modern management of equipment has become an inevitable choice for enterprises to achieve transformation and upgrading as well as enhance their core competitiveness. The modernized management of equipment is a systematic endeavor that encompasses ten core elements: philosophy, objectives, policies, organization, systems, standards, methods, means, personnel, and measures. It requires comprehensive planning and coordinated implementation. I. Establish a modern management mindset; guiding management transformation is the precursor to action. The primary task in the modern management of equipment is to change management concepts. The traditional mindset of emphasizing use over management and repair over prevention must be abandoned, and a life-cycle management approach should be adopted, bringing the entire process of equipment – from planning, procurement, installation, use, maintenance to disposal – under a unified management system. It is necessary to strengthen market awareness and cost awareness, recognizing that the scientific management of equipment not only ensures production safety but also generates economic benefits. At the same time, emphasis should be placed on data-driven decision-making to shift equipment management from an \"experience-based\" approach to a \"data-based\" one, fully motivating employees and establishing a management framework characterized by overall participation and collaborative governance. II. Clarify the goals of modern management; focus on value creation. The fundamental goal of modern management of equipment is to maximize the overall benefits throughout the equipment’s life cycle. That is, while ensuring safe and reliable operation, to achieve the lowest investment costs, the highest operational efficiency, the lowest maintenance expenses, and the longest service life. Specifically, the criteria of “high efficiency, low cost, long lifecycle, and sustainability” should be used to optimize all aspects related to equipment selection, utilization, maintenance, and replacement. This will help prevent resource waste, enhance the return on assets, and create long-term value for the enterprise. III. Adhere to a modern management approach and uphold the safety bottom line. “Safety first, prevention first, comprehensive management” is the fundamental principle that must be followed in equipment management.
