According to news from Sinochem New Network, on February 1st, the Jiangxi Pesticide Industry Association reported that by the end of 2025, Jiangxi’s annual pesticide production would amount to 220,000 tons, with sales reaching 10 billion yuan, placing the province in seventh place nationwide. According to a responsible official from the secretariat of the Jiangxi Pesticide Industry Association, over the past year, the pesticide industry in Jiangxi has proactively supported the strategy of building a strong agricultural province, thoroughly implemented the new development concepts, seen a steady improvement in its innovation capabilities, experienced continuous optimization of its industrial structure, and achieved notable results in green pest control, thereby making significant contributions to ensuring food security and ecological environment safety. Thanks to the joint efforts of colleagues in the pesticide industry in Jiangxi Province, the province’s pesticide industry has achieved remarkable results. Firstly, the industry is growing in scale, with production volumes increasing steadily. There are currently 74 pesticide manufacturing enterprises in the province, of which 7 are listed or affiliated with listed companies, and 17 have annual sales revenues of over 100 million yuan ； 11,200 pesticide business units ； There are 3 entities responsible for conducting pesticide registration trials. By 2025, the total output of pesticides is expected to be around 200,000 tons, with sales revenue reaching nearly 10 billion yuan; both the number of enterprises and the volume of pesticide production will rank among the highest in the country. Secondly, product types are continuously being optimized, and the pace of green transformation is accelerating. The province currently has 2,340 registered pesticide products, over 30 original drug varieties, and more than 1,100 pesticide formulation products. Research and development of new types of formulations such as biological pesticides and nano-pesticides is accelerating. Environmentally friendly formulations such as microemulsions, water-emulsions, and water-dispersible granules account for 72.5% of the total. The recycling rate of pesticide packaging waste reaches 85.15%, resulting in significant improvements in the control of agricultural non-point source pollution. Third, pesticide management has been continuously strengthened, yielding remarkable results in pesticide safety oversight. The province has implemented the electronic submission of application documents, enabling online processing of administrative approvals for pesticides. It adopts a registration and preliminary review process based on \"uniform receipt, parallel examination, and hierarchical approval,\" as well as systems such as the responsibility system for the first responder, timely information provision, and completion of tasks within set deadlines ； Various regions and departments have strengthened the supervision of the pesticide market, regulated pesticide production and distribution practices, thereby continuously improving the efficiency and quality of pesticide management services. The pesticide industry in Jiangxi Province continues to standardize industry practices by focusing on production license management as well as supervision and inspection under the “double random, one public” system. Throughout the year, supervision services were provided to 26 pesticide manufacturing enterprises and 76 pesticide distribution units in total. What is even more commendable is that, in the provincial inspections and random tests related to pesticide regulation, the pass rate for pesticide products in this province has consistently remained above 98% over the years.
