What is the typical level control for the bottom liquid level in a distillation column equipped with a siphon reboiler?
It cannot be generalized; it depends on whether it is a vertical thermal siphon or a horizontal thermal siphon. The lowest liquid level in the tower bottom can only be calculated based on the relative positions of the reboiler and the tower bottom, as well as the pipe resistance. Operations must be carried out above this lowest liquid level.
