Questions regarding the extraction efficiency of the extraction tower

Our extraction tower is primarily used to extract ethanol and a basic substance from organic materials. Recently, the concentration of basic substances in the oil phase has remained high. Adjusting the water-to-oil ratio, the extraction temperature, reducing the alcohol content, and performing tower washing have not yielded any results. Do any of you have any suggestions?
The testing standards and reagents have also been verified, so there is no issue with non-standard testing. After vacuum low-temperature distillation, the results decreased; it is speculated that some gas may have dissolved in the oil phase, leading to higher detection values.
You can extract the material that has been extracted several more times; if it works, it might be that the number of extraction stages is not sufficient.
