I would like to ask the experts: what should be the required level of benzene content in the liquefied gas at the top of the reforming depentanizer? Are there any on-line instruments available for measuring this value on site?
Liquefied gas from the pentane distillation tower top? Isn’t it the pentane oil at the top of the tower that is then sent to the subsequent C4/C5 fractionation towers to produce liquefied gas? In our refraction unit, there are no on-line analyzers; all analyses are carried out through sampling
Does that mean that for the pentane oil at the top of the tower, the benzene content is generally kept below 1%?
Generally, liquefied gas does not contain hexa-carbon
The top product of the pentane removal tower is pentane oil, consisting mainly of C3, C4, and C5 compounds with a small amount of C6 compounds; it then goes to the butane removal tower, where the benzene content at the bottom of this tower needs to be kept below 1%. The pentane column has excellent separation performance, so it seems unnecessary to add an on-line analyzer. Just take regular samples
