Is it true that the fewer the theoretical number of theoretical plates in a tower unit, the lower its manufacturing cost?
The fewer theoretical plates required for the tower, the lower the equipment investment. However, a higher reflux ratio increases operating costs.
It is designed based on the purity requirements of the product; the fewer the theoretical number of theoretical plates, the lower the purity of the product will be, and it will not meet the specified requirements. So it needs to be considered comprehensively.
