Precautions for preventing safety accidents involving tower cranes: 1. Strictly follow the operating procedures for tower cranes; they must be operated by designated personnel. Strengthen the inspection, maintenance, and routine upkeep of tower cranes. Crane towers that have been in use and disassembled over many years may develop defects such as cracks and poor welds; if repairs are not carried out in a timely manner, this can compromise the safety of the crane tower. Steel wire ropes should be regularly inspected and maintained, and replaced immediately when they reach the end of their useful life. Ensuring that professional staff conduct regular inspections and maintenance of tower cranes can effectively prevent safety accidents. 4. Strengthen wind protection measures. Wind interference disrupts the normal operation of tower cranes. As the height of the tower crane increases, the impact of wind becomes greater; special attention should be paid during windy seasons and in coastal areas. 5. Pay proper attention to the foundation design of tower cranes, and properly address the safety issues related to adjacent equipment. Uneven foundation soil can cause the tower crane to tilt. To prevent the longitudinal and transverse inclinations from exceeding the specified limits, strict requirements must be applied to the laying of the roadbed track. In addition, safety issues related to adjacent equipment must also be considered; for example, vibrations generated by nearby machinery can affect the foundation of tower cranes; excavators can alter the load-bearing capacity of the ground; and tower cranes that are located too close to each other may collide with one another. 6. Accurately assess the lifespan of the tower crane. At present, many provinces have imposed a ban on the use of tower cranes produced by certain manufacturers, but there are no uniform standards regarding the service life of these cranes; it is recommended that relevant authorities establish standards for when such cranes should be retired, so that they can be discarded once their useful life expires. 7.
