Impurities, oil coking, and rust sludge are all possible possibilities. Which unit is the distillation tower referred to by the original poster?

To be honest, the probability of coking occurring in this part of the medium inside the tower is very low! The slurry filter gets clogged, mostly due to the catalyst in the slurry! Don’t you have a backwash process for the filters here? Generally, a light diesel line is connected for backflushing!
What is the mesh size of your filter screens? Currently, the temperature in the distillation tower is kept at no more than 350 degrees, so no significant amount of coke is formed
