What are the reasons for poor drainage during the startup small-cycle of a gasifier, cyclone separator, and water washing tower?
Check the water quality in the system to see if poor water quality is causing scaling and blockages in the pipes. In most cases, the problem lies with the water quality. If it’s a localized issue, then check whether the drainage valves are not functioning properly, or whether the on-site manual valves are not fully open, which could result in restricted flow in the pipes. Also, verify whether there are any pipe leaks or areas where the backflow valves were forgotten to be turned off. Or check whether the pressure in the tank is affecting drainage.

The small-cycle cyclone separator and the water scrubber do not require drainage; I assume you are referring to the drainage from the gasification furnace. Is a water seal used or not?
