For the 4,000-ton/year integrated refining and chemical project of Zhejiang Petrochemical, undertaken by the Construction and Installation Branch of Ningbo Engineering Company, the C-5401 benzene-toluene tower, the tallest equipment in Unit 2 for aromatic compounds, has been successfully lifted into place. It is reported that the benzotoluene column for Zhejiang Petrochemical’s aromatics project consists of 2 units, which are arranged symmetrically in the areas of Unit 1 and Unit 2 for aromatics processing. The benzotoluene tower has a diameter of 7.8 meters and a height of 91.92 meters, with a lifting weight of 1,043 tons. The lifting of this tower was carried out using a 4,000-ton crawler crane as the main lifting device, with a 1,600-ton crawler crane used to assist in guiding the structure; the entire lifting process took 3 hours, and it was completed successfully in the end. It is reported that the integrated refining and chemical project of Zhejiang Petrochemical has a total capacity of 40 million tons per year for oil refining, 8 million tons per year for p-xylene, and 2.8 million tons per year for ethylene, with a total investment of 173 billion yuan. The planned construction period is from 2017 to 2021, and the contractor is Zhejiang Petrochemical Co., Ltd.

The installation process for standard tower modules involves preparing them on the ground – equipping them with necessary components, installing pipelines connected to the tower, providing personal protective equipment, setting up lighting fixtures, and applying anti-corrosion and insulation measures.
Lift it after it’s fully clothed and covered, which reduces the need for a lot of work at heights. Great idea!
Is the lifting cost higher when wearing a helmet and clothing, or is it higher after positioning? Only for insulation costs
It’s less than 100 meters tall – this isn’t Zhejiang Petrochemical’s tallest tower. His tallest tower is the propylene tower, 110 meters high.
