The adsorbent in the PSA system contains water. How to remove the water from the adsorbent after shutdown?
First, find out the cause of the water and deal with it, and then use hot air to blow out and dry the accumulated water in the discharge device. If there are two or more absorbers, use them alternately for drying.
First of all, you need to determine what type of PSA it is. If it is a dry type, you can handle it as mentioned above. If it is gas separation, you need to know the type of adsorbent and the degree of water intrusion. For gas separation, the usual types of adsorbents in towers are: From bottom to top are activated alumina that absorbs moisture, silica gel or activated carbon that adsorbs macromolecules, and finally molecular sieves on the top layer. If this type of adsorbent becomes waterlogged, it cannot be regenerated using on-site drying. Silica gel will break and pulverize when it absorbs water, and activated carbon will pulverize when it absorbs water, which will increase the resistance of the adsorption bed. If the molecular sieve absorbs water, it will have no adsorption capacity. The regeneration temperature of the molecular sieve absorbing water is relatively high, usually above 300°C. It cannot be processed on site and can only be returned to the packing manufacturer for regeneration. Usually the adsorbent is damaged due to water absorption, and it is recommended to replace it, because returning to the factory for regeneration will take too long, and the factory cannot stop production. Many filler manufacturers are unwilling to do it, the cost is high, and the best results may not be achieved after regeneration.
Thanks for the guidance. The leader wanted to try using hot nitrogen.
Very professional. From the bottom layer of alumina-silica gel-activated carbon-molecular sieve to the entire process, we need to judge the depth of water.; When a problem occurs, you cannot produce while sick, as it will accelerate the contamination of internal materials. Inspections should be arranged as soon as possible to avoid excessive losses. The high-temperature nitrogen activation restored below is one way, and the premise is to judge the degree of water volume. We also make materials, so if you have any questions, you can communicate with us.

Ask about the effect of hot nitrogen with water. . . . . . Find the result
I don’t know if the water content is serious, the adsorbent will be pulverized if it is serious, so prepare to change the agent.
