I’m using a single-tower system now, and I haven’t noticed any drawbacks. Before, I used a line-based ammonia extraction method, which is related to the quality of the feed water; if the parameters of the feed water are too high, it’s harder to control the process with a single tower compared to the line-based method. Additionally, in systems that have sulfur treatment units, if ammonia isn’t extracted, those acidic gases cannot be utilized. Moreover, the temperature in the ammonia combustion furnace needs to be above 1200 degrees
