I would like to ask the experts here: what is the amount of oil injected into your caustic scrubber towers? What is the injection amount of the butter inhibitor? Are there any good ways to deal with butter?
The dosage of the oil washing agent and butter inhibitor must be determined based on specific conditions, as there are requirements regarding concentration. For the oil washing agent, the dosage can be adjusted by comparing the designed operating conditions with the actual operating conditions. The amount of butter inhibitor to be injected should be determined according to the injection concentration requirements provided by the supplier; they offer reference values for this amount, and it can also be adjusted based on the components present in the reaction gas. There is a basis for reference for all of them. Regarding the treatment of butter, there are currently several different methods, each with its own advantages and disadvantages. Over the years in the ethylene industry, the treatment of butter and spent alkali has been a major problem.
Our acidic gas levels are very low, below 200PPM, and the concentration of alkaline solutions is also low, below 5. However, there is a large amount of butter present, and significant amounts of oil washing agents and butter inhibitors are used.
