What is the process, and how is paraffin in the product controlled?
In the single-column distillation process, alkali is added to neutralize acidic substances and control the content of alkali metals during the reaction. The alkali metals in the bottom product can be controlled by adjusting the feed flow rate and the operating conditions of the tower. At the same time, monitoring the temperature, pressure, and component concentrations at different locations within the monitoring tower is a key step. To control paraffin, the operating conditions of the tower can be optimized, such as the reflux ratio and the temperature gradient within the tower, in order to prevent excessive separation of paraffin inside the tower. Choosing the right detergent or additive at the same time can also help to suppress the formation of paraffin.
