I would like to ask: For a packed tower, methanol needs to be fed into it. It’s not possible to introduce it at the bottom; feeding it from the top is the only option. This does not meet the regulatory requirements. Is there any solution?

Methanol concentration: 95%, acidic wastewater with a pH of 2–3, containing chloride ions
Improper upper feeding: 1. The product is discharged from the top, close to the outlet, which causes the product to contain other impurities. 2. The distillation efficiency of the tower is affected, and more steam is required. 3. Since the feed is at the top, the entire tower needs to be made of corrosion-resistant stainless steel, increasing the manufacturing cost of the tower. Recommendation: Feed at the middle section
In methanol distillation, only the column for removing light components feeds from the top of the column; both the atmospheric pressure column and the pressurized column feed from the middle of the column.
